General Info

Stella Good Coffee sits at 3011 W Grand Blvd #110a, Detroit, MI 48202, United States, and it fits right into the neighborhood as a laid-back coffee shop that feels easy to walk into and even easier to stay awhile. From the moment you step inside, the vibe leans casual and welcoming, making it a comfortable stop whether you’re meeting someone or just grabbing a quick bite on your own.

One of the things people tend to notice right away is how smoothly everything runs. Orders move quickly, which is perfect if you’re short on time, but there’s no sense of being rushed out the door. Stella Good Coffee manages that balance well, creating a space that works for both quick coffee runs and slower catch-ups. Credit cards are accepted, which keeps things simple, and reservations are also welcomed, a nice option if you’re planning to meet a group and want to make sure space is available.

The menu keeps the focus where it should be-on quality drinks and thoughtful choices. Coffee is the clear centerpiece, but the great tea selection stands out too. If you’re more of a tea drinker, you won’t feel like an afterthought here. Everything feels intentionally put together, not overloaded, which makes choosing easier and more enjoyable. That simplicity is part of the experience and a reason many reviews highlight how approachable the menu feels.

As a coffee shop, Stella Good Coffee delivers an atmosphere that matches its offerings. It’s casual without feeling careless and comfortable without being boring. The space works well for conversation, solo downtime, or even a low-key meeting. You can feel that it’s designed for everyday use, not just special occasions, which makes it easy to become a regular stop.

Location matters too, and being on West Grand Boulevard puts Stella Good Coffee in a spot that’s convenient for locals and visitors alike. It’s the kind of place people recommend when talking about reliable coffee spots in Detroit. Across different reviews, the experience often comes across as consistent and relaxed, which says a lot in a city full of dining options.

Overall, Stella Good Coffee feels like a place that understands what a modern coffee shop should be: good drinks, efficient service, flexible options, and an atmosphere that invites you to come back without trying too hard.

What customers say?

“ The vanilla latte is yum and subtle. Mecca's latte art is on point. Glenn is warm and welcoming. For sure, I will be a regular. And have I mentioned how stunning the Fisher Building is? It's jaw-dropping stunning! ”

“ Great pour over cup of coffee in New Center. My favorite in the City of Detroit. Located inside the beautiful fisher building. ”

- JJ -

“ Decent coffee, but nothing that I would go out of my way for. I got a cold brew with oat milk. The guy behind the counter was kind of mean, but the coffee itself was very decent. The fisher building is beautiful so it’s a bit of a bummer! If the service was better, I’d be a returning customer. ”

- Rebecca Krawczak -

“ Update: The vibe of this place is so chill and calming. It's cozy, the music is always soothing, and the coffee is consistently so good. I absolutely love their sugar-free caramel latte. Their team (Glenn and Mekka) are also kind, calm, and chill. I love this place. Update: they are one of the few places that offer the sugar-free caramel flavor to add to a latte, and I love it. Their lattes are delicious. First time impression: this place is a hidden treasure! A great coffee shop offering very pleasant coffee including pour over. One of the two kind baristas, Mecca, told me their beans are from Cadillac Roasters. Despite having a small footprint, they have a cute little variety of seating options, and the music is some form of upbeat jazz; all within the scope of cozy and delightful. ”

- Laith Ejeilat -

“ I can really only assume the coffee is good because they aren’t open on the weekends, which seems like a failing when there are musicals in the building and the cast/crew would absolutely buy coffee. On a two- show day, they’d probably be back a couple times. I’d consider being open on one of the weekend days. ”

- Daniel Mollett -

“ Good coffee indeed! Nice place right inside the magnificent Fisher Building - owned locally, great coffee and great cookies - what's not to like? ”
